If you’re a photographer and haven’t participated in a styled shoot- hop on it! Styled shoots are a gateway to creating tons of fantastic content for your portfolio, networking with other creatives, models, and brands, and most importantly- an outlet for practicing and enhancing your photography skills (cough cough, future blog post about this coming soon). I had the pleasure of participating in this shoot via Roamers Workshop and am thrilled with how the photos turned out! Without further ado, let’s get into the details of these Malibu Hills sunset wedding portraits.
The best part about shooting wedding portraits is meeting the couples and hearing their stories. Ernie and Kenzie have been married for a year and have a similar love story as Max and I. They met through YWAM in Australia, stuck it out and did the whole long-distance thing, and got married as soon as they could! (I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again- when you know, you know). They are both creatives and work in the photography industry; you can imagine how excited they were when asked to model for these wedding portraits- it was their turn to be in front of the camera! Kenzie wore this stunning wedding dress from Stone Bridal, based in Laguna, and let’s just say, I swear it was MADE for her! We took them through Malibu Hills and just let them do their thing! It’s always so cool to be involved in fun shoots where the environment is new and exciting, especially in a place like the Hills! Photographing these wedding portraits was a perfect way to transition into fall, and now I’m ready for all the fall photography, fashion, and festivities!
